Day of rest and exploring in Logroño

Today I checked into the Albergue Santiago Apostol in Logroño. Nice bunks and a prepared dinner. I went out exploring and to find ice. A small candy store had 2kg bags for 2.50 and glazed donuts so I was all set for a bench in central park. It was nice. Every one and a while someone who say Buen Camino or Hola Peligrino. Around mid day a very large marathon race was ran by woman in support of breast cancer. I would say over 2 thousand women went by. I walked through the Church of San Bartolomé and was amazed by the architecture, carvings an and stained glass. Later that day, I ran into my Swedish and Irish friend. We had a cola together and searched for a place to buy batteries. David, my Irish friend was staying at a nice hotel he found online for a good price. Sweden and I stayed at the Albergue and had pasta, thinly sliced steak w/ mushrooms, and cream brele' for desert. We will leave in the morning around 6. Buen Comino.
