Trip to Santiago and the return home.
I decide to go to Santiago for the day. I took a bus to Madrid and then a train to Santiago. I think this was a good ending to a 2 week trip to Spain for the Camino de Santiago. I hiked over 100 miles from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Ventosa. I hiked over the French Pyrenees to a height of 4200 ft, and saw amazing visits.
While is Santiago de Compostela I attended the Pilgrims mass and took the Eucharist or communion. I also went down and saw the tomb of St. James for which the church is named after. It's an amazing church and tight roads and shops make exploring the city fun. It also appears guys in constume are not exclusive to New York Time Square either. After a short down pour I was amazed at the down spouts and the way the water moved through the city streets. I stayed in Santiago for the night and would take a bus back to Madrid the next day exploring the meseta by bus on a 9 hr bus ride. Finally after one more night in Madrid, I would leave for the airport to return to Boston.
